Agarbatti derived from Sanskrit word Agaravarthi, gara = odour, agar = aroma, varthi = wound )
The ritual of using incense in many social and religious occasions is a true tradition in India.
The process of how incense is produced- in which a paste is rolled or moulded around a bamboo stick- is the driver for our "Agabatti Table".
The use of natural steam beach is reflective of the use organic material used in the sticks themselves, (such as charcoal dust and bark) whereas the elegant metal frame supports the weight and gives an overall sense of form, balance and proportion.
The table top is crafted from the same wood, and shaped in a wooden lathe to enhance the delicate nature of Agarbatti, and to create a natural form which shows the beauty of the wood itself.
This table works for residential and commercial spaces adding a sense of strength and beauty within its surrounding.
